Canadians have had the good fortune to pay the same price for Prime since it launched. Currently, the rate for a Prime subscription in Canada is $8 CAD/month or $79 CAD if paid for a year in advance.
The new price will be implemented on new customers subscribing to Prime on or after May 13, or for any existing customers whose prime accounts renew on or after this date.
The cost will go up to $10 CAD/month and $99 CAD if paid yearly. Canadians still are paying a lot less than their U.S Cousins, which are being charged $15/month or $139/year for Prime.
