These Two Streaming Channels are the Netflix of Documentaries
For streaming TV, Netflix is still the gold standard. While Netflix offers some documentaries, but they don't match what these two channels offer for documentaries.
Curiosity Stream
For a streaming service that is entirely based on documentaries, Curiosity Stream is very nice. They let you stream thousands of documentaries in HD on many subjects, from science to history.
They are not very expensive, and for $20/year, they are well worth the money if streaming documentaries are something you enjoy. Certain Internet Service Providers will even offer it free to their subscribers. It may be worth reaching out to a CSR and see if your ISP offers anything like this included in the monthly price.

Magellan
Another great streaming channel for documentaries is Magellan TV. They feature 3,000+ documentary movies, TV series, and other exclusive curated playlists. Both it and Curiosity Stream are available on a wide range of streaming media and portable devices. They include iOS, Android via Google Play, Vizio, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and more.
How much does Magellan cost?
They have three tiers available. The cheapest way to go is to pay $59.88 USD for a full year in advance. This comes out to $4.99 per month. Otherwise you can pay for their quarterly plan, this costs $17.97 USD every 3 months. Which is $5.99 per month. Finally, there is also a monthly option which, if you plan on only watching limited content, may make the most sense. But it's also more than their other two plans and it is $6.99 each month.
