The Netflix movie and TV show library is huge. If they allowed you to scroll through every video on their site it would probably take many hours if not days to get through the list.

Instead, they came up with a really nice algorithm which offers Netflix Suggestions based on the choices you've made in the past. Talk about the choices you make in life coming back to haunt you. Netflix's software is a great example of this.

But there's an easy way to erase past movie or TV show selection mistakes, and completly change the algorithm to where it offers different content based on your current viewing preference.

If you have not yet set up user profiles for different family members, doing so is a good idea. Beacuse this allows the Netflix software algorithm to be custom tailored to each user's watch history.


Here's How To Reset Your Netflix Watch History For Fresh New Content


Purge Your Viewing History:

1. Sign into your Netflix account from a web browser.

2. Go to your profile by clicking on the profile avitar for the user account you use when watching. (It's found in the top right corner of main menu.)

3. Choose the Account icon and scroll down to where it says Profile and Parental Controls and choose the icon for the account you want to remove watch history.

4. From the expanded list, choose Viewing activity. This brings up a long list of everything you watched under this user profile.

5. On the right side of each title, is a circle with a line through it. Click it next to each title, to hide that selection from the algorithim. You also have the option to scroll down and click the Hide all button. This completly hides everything and resets the suggested content to a brand new state.



That's all there is to wiping the memory banks of the Netflix algorithm. But please remember, only certain aspects of a Netflix account can only be customized or changed from their website and not from a channel or app installed on Roku or other media player.
