Streaming TV Now Has Captured a Third Of Television Market Share

Streamers are commanding a larger portion of TV entertainment. While cable and satellite companies once dominated this market, their market share keeps shrinking.

According to Media Post, Nielson Research just released their latest study and for the third month in a row, people in record numbers have turned to streaming to watch television.

Streaming was the only viewing category to exhibit any month-over-month growth in May, continuing to close the gap on cable's 36.5% share of viewership, and exceeding broadcast's 24.4% share.

With record inflation in the U.S., many Americans are now taking desperate measures to hold on to whatever money they have left. Cutting nonessential expenses like very expensive monthly cable and satellite TV bills is a great way to stretch your dollars even further.

Streamers Have Great Free Alternative Channels and Apps

Cord cutters have always had some great options for watching free TV. Either from channels like these online streaming sites available from a Web browser. Or these Free channels and apps that are available on your favorite media player.

With gas and food only becoming more expensive by the day, tuning in to Free TV apps is a sensible way to cut your costs.
