Perfect Player a Popular IPTV App Removed From Google Play Store
Slapped with a bogus content provider complaint the Perfect Player IPTV app was removed from the Play Store for Android Users by Google.
Perfect Player does not contain links, or host any pirated content. It is an app that allows one to enter the address of IPTV streams on the Internet to play them on Android Devices
The issue is many of the free streams, do contain links to pirated live TV channels, movies and TV shows.
And while Perfect Player does allow one to play these illicit streams. Claiming the app facilitates piracy, is like claiming an automobile facilitates drunk driving. And you won't see anyone banning cars to stop drunk driving any time soon.
IPTV Smarters App Also Removed From Google Play
IPTV Smarters which is also another popular IPTV app for Android was also removed from Google's Play Store but now it's back.
At the time, IPTV Smarters' Amanpreet Singh developer confirmed in an interview with TorrentFreak:
“It’s just a false complaint as usual.
“It’s normal [to receive such complaints] and [it has] happened three times so far. We had it sorted out last time and this time.
"We have executed the same procedure with the help of our lawyers.”
This it typical overreach by large media companies who will go to great lengths to protect their revenue stream. Filing false claims that disrupt the livelihood of others simply because they don't align with their own agenda or profits should lead to criminal charges.

IPTV Apps Removed From Roku
Roku also removed IPTV Player channels from their platform. Which caused some uproar at the time. Currently, Apple TV and Android both have numerous playlist players available on their media streaming devices.
You can't blame Roku and Google because most content available on IPTV m3u playlists seems to be from the dark side. With many small-time providers illegally selling retransmitted feeds from Dish and DirecTV over IP. And Roku has some pretty big content providers that are shareholders in their company.
Maybe at some point Roku may relent and allow these channels back on their platform, but it seems rather unlikely.
Will Perfect Player Return To Android?
It's unknown if Perfect Player can make a convincing argument to get their app back onto the Google Playstore. Thankfully you can still side load apps rather easily to both Android and Fire TV devices from 3rd party play stores as downloaded apks.
The best way to do this is through an app called FileLinked. For more information on how to use this app on Android Click here »
